WTSB Safe Deposit Boxes

WTSB Safe Deposit Boxes provide a safe place for your most important possessions. When renting a safe deposit box, it’s important to consider what you will be storing in the box so that you can choose the right size box for you. You will also need to consider who you want to have access to your box. A WTSB Customer Service Representative will be happy to show you the Safe Deposit Boxes that we have available.

What to keep in your safe deposit box

 Safe deposit boxes are a good place to keep the items that are valuable to you. This includes items such as jewelry, cash, stamp and coin collections and negotiable instruments like stock certificates and bonds. They are also a good place to store items that are not replaceable or that have sentimental value. It is also a good idea to store a household inventory (videotaped or written), appraisals, listing of insurance policies, and credit card numbers in your safe deposit box.

What not to keep in your safe deposit box

It is important to remember that only you can open your safe deposit box without a court order. Items that others may need to obtain if you are not present should not be kept in your box.

Original wills, powers of attorney, living trust documents, and other trust documents should not be in your safe deposit box. Insurance policies should usually be available and not kept in the box.

It’s a good idea to keep an inventory of what your safe deposit box contains.

FDIC Insurance does not apply to the contents of safe deposit boxes. Nor does West Town Savings Bank insure the content of safe deposit boxes. The contents of the box are confidential and known only to you and you are responsible for any insurance you feel is necessary on the contents of your box.

Safe Deposit Box Sizes and Rental Fees

  • 5” x 5” x 21” — $25.00 annually
  • 5” x 10” x 21” — $30.00 annually
  • 3” x 10” x 21” — $40.00 annually
  • 10” x 10” x 21” — $90.00 annually

There is a late charge of $15.00 after your annual rental is 10 days past due.

There is a charge of $7.00 plus the cost of drilling for one lost key.

There is a charge of $10.00 plus the cost of drilling for two lost keys.
